Specific responsibilities of the position:
We are currently looking for a payroll and human resources Assistant to join our young and dynamic team. Reporting directly to human resources, the chosen candidate will be responsible for generating payroll checks through CGI’s Nethris (payroll Internet). The candidate will be assisting human resources to compile, store and process information concerning the recruitment, training, performance evaluations and all other required tasks.

Primary tasks
* Keep records of attendance, holidays and overtime for employees to calculate the compensation and benefits to which they are entitled to Canadian and U.S. currencies;
* Complete, verify and process the forms and documents required for the terminal benefits and employment insurance and health insurance;
* Participate in the preparation of T4 slips and other records;
* Informing employees on issues related to payroll and benefits plans;
* To compile statistical reports, statements and summaries on the remuneration and benefits;
* Prepare and verify end of the period’s reports and balanced the register and pay paid with the of GL records;
* Treat, check and record the documentation linked to the activities of service personnel, such as staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluation and classification;
* Make arrangements to announce or post vacancies, help select and evaluate the candidates and check references;
* Take steps to set up training activities internally and externally;
* Ensure a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in the treatment of all records and all reports;

Requirements:
* DEC administration, accountant or option payroll administration
* Bilingual (french and English) written and spoken
* Knowledge of the software suite Office
* Knowledge advanced Excel
* Certification of the Canadian Payroll Association Level 1 mandatory
* Very good knowledge of Internet
* Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience
* Be at ease with the "adult" activities
